If what Jen-san has reported is correct, that Arashi will be in this year's Kouhaku Utagassen...
Oh my god.
I can finally watch them! IN MY OWN TV SCREEN!!! In Kouhaku Utagassen nonetheless! I watched it a few years back, distinctly remembering looking at Ayumi Hamasaki performing in a very colorful set as the firecrackers outside our house all went BOOM hahaha.
I can't believe it. Arashi, in Kouhaku Utagassen. WHICH IS, by the way, to be hosted by Masahiro Nakai and some guy named Tsurube Shofukutei. Both hosts are male this time. : O It would've been nice if it was Nakai and Nakama Yukie again. : D
...what if a Nakai-Ohno battle ensues in the Kouhaku stage? XD XD
I was also surprised to know that Gary Valenciano and the group Smoky Mountain has guested in Kouhaku, both in the early 90s. hmm. At least some artists from our country have guested on the show. : D
I hope in the future some artists from our generation get to guest in the Kouhaku Utagassen. :D
It's a three-man band consisting of Yoshika Kiyoe on vocals, Yamashita Hotaka on guitar and harmonica, and Mizuno Yoshiki on guitar.
I've only discovered them recently, but i love their songs. I really like Kiyoe-chan's voice, and this may seem weird, but somehow I can really see myself in their music. :D
Go and try their music out, it's really nice. My personal recommendations:
Akaneiro no Yakusoku (newest single!)
SAKURA
HANABI
KIRA * KIRA * TRAIN
Uruwashiki Hito
Natsuzora Graffiti
Seishun LINE

HOMG, that was really funny, Aiba's attempt at making Ohno stop crying! Aibachan wins!!! XD XD XD Toma will be pleased! XD
Aiba-chan's growing on me. XD
Oh, I'd like to share a picture with all of you that you might find funny. My friend and I found this when we were on our way home.
XDXD.
Okay, since Mishie-chan now has her TIME CD, I can listen to my own TIME tracks as well. ^^ Of course, Niji was wonderful and such, listened to many of the songs in the album already (but since my library is always on shuffle,I'm not that good in remembering song names.) but not all of them yet.
Funny thing was after listening to Ohno Satoshi's Song for Me, moments after I saw that the song I was already listening to was DBSK's Song for You.
Alright, it's not that funny, but i found it amusing. And hwow, Tohoshinki's members' voices are really higher (and not squeaky-high like Jun sometimes) compared to Arashi. I've heard of them from a friend of mine two years ago; but back then they were still concentrating in Korea. Jejun looks like a mix of Kame and Jin; Yu Chun and Yun Ho both remind me of Nino. lol. Not that sure about their line-up or how they look like now, seeing that my reference is a magazine two years old. ^^
Strangely Ayumi Hamasaki's songs all sound alike. : O.
It was only during these past days (around three days) that I was able to watch the 2005 Taiwanese Drama Devil Beside You, based off on the manga Akuma de Sourou. I'm not really a big fan of Taiwanese Dramas -- the last i watched was Meteor Garden I + II, with occassional peeks on At Dolphin Bay. I remember having a crush on someone in Dolphin Bay...I don't remember who it was, though.
So yeah. I was able to read a couple of volumes of Akuma de Sourou a couple of years back through my good friend Jez and I was hooked (although she didn't have other volumes so it slipped through our minds). And since I had plenty of time in my hands during the last week, I chose to take a good snip of my time and watch Devil Beside You.
Ahahahaha, Mike He, you are SO HOT. XD
The story somehow is typical shoujo manga. So many love triangles involving so many people, various problems and such. While I watched the story seemed like a mesh of Marmalade Boy and Hana Yori Dango. The ending was very predictable, and I grade it as a so-and-so drama. Mike He is really hot, though. Really hot. And Rainie Yang's pretty cute although her character's not really my type. Her voice is unbelievably lovely.
Watched a couple of Japanese movies too, mainly Shinobi (Odagiri Joe + Nakama Yukie) + Sugar & Spice (Yagira Yuuya + Sawajiri Erika). Shinobi was great, based off Basilisk (Onmyouza, bebeh!), although it seemed too short, they could've prolonged the battle sequences and stretched out the tension and stuff. I really love Nakama Yukie, she's so cool. XD And Odagiri Joe -- I've yet to watch Yureru. Sawajiri Erika was really cute in Shinobi as Hotarubi; compared to the manga/anime the movie ending was more heartbreaking, because if you follow the manga and anime it'd come off more as a more brutal Japanese Romeo + Juliet. ^^ But the manga/anime ending would be heartbreaking as well, but the movie ending would be more 'whoa.'
Sugar & Spice -- my god, once of the worst Japanese movies I've ever seen. Such a long movie with such a simple point to make. It's not even exciting, it's predictable, the pace of the story was so unbelievably slow. And even if they did it for dramatic effect, it was still really really slow. I was already begging for it to finish one hour into it. It took two hours for the movie to tell you 'what little girls are made of'. I will never watch this movie again.
Because my eight-day break is almost done, let's count off what I've done. and what I haven't done. : O
- continued manga (inked four pages; uploaded two, cleaned up two. two to be done later today)
- watched Devil Beside You (1-20)
- watched Full House (1-15? 16? (skipped parts))
- read Twilight + New Moon (S. Meyer)
- watched Yamada Taro 09, HanaKimi 09-10, Coffee Prince up to 16 since my 17 + special is missing
Damn distracting dramas. I did so little. : O Good thing next season I don't have much to look forward to. Only Jin. : D
PS: Happiness is really addicting. XD
I watched the Happiness video (thank you very much BahayKubo for the post! XD Or else I wouldn't have watched it XD.), and it was so cute. SO full of Ohmiya hahahaha.
Is it me or is Jun looking so hot lately? XD
Aiba was really cute too. So genki and his flapping tummy XD XD
Sho-kun channeled Mimura-kun, although seeing him in pink was pretty strange.
Ohno and Nino = funny. XD
----
Meanwhile, I am totally channeling Han Yoo Ju. leaving before you're the one left behind, ne. something akin to that. But I am somewhat thoroughly pissed. or frustrated. or both. HAN YOO JU!!!
Lol. I'm so very late.
Everybody's said it anyway, but here goes:
Happy birthday, Matsumoto Jun!
Matsumoto Jun, who made me like flippy haired guys in Gokusen,
who made me cry so much in HanaDan
who baited me into liking Arashi
who still doesn't fail in making me say 'Ooh, hot Jun! XD'
whose fashion sense I admire (because, yes, it's the stylists' fault for the gold suit)
who I wish to be with Mao who still looks hot after Aya Ueto slapped him
who makes me laugh because of his singing voice (i'm sorry!)
whose smile makes countless fangirls go down in cascades and waves
who likes grinding dancing with Riida
who like using his card when paying for stuff
who takes care of their concerts and plans them
who has pierced the hearts of many others.
To you, Matsumoto Jun, who has done all these things and a lot more,
We, your fangirls, wish you a very happy 24th birthday. ^^
Even if you can't understand this, and will probably never will read this,
or even see this, we wish you the very best.
So please, marry Mao and have pretty kids take care of yourself and be happy. :D Oshiawase ni!
Oh well, that's it. Otanjoubi omedetou, Jun-kun, hope you had a nice birthday. XD
I just realized, I did this for Jun and did not even do anything for Nino. : O.
oh help me, faltering, faltering~ lol. oh so faltering.
I saw the video.
Lol.
What is up with Ken and Tetchan?! XD XD XD
They always do weird things whenever Hyde's introducing something. One time Ken and Yukki started talking in a language i cannot understand, and Tetchan and Hyde were laughing in the background.
Tetchan was really cute XD Pink and all. Is he still going on strong with the Every Little Thing singer?
Hyde's perfect, of course. XD Lol. So hot XD XD. I really like his hair and his clothes today. Although I think he somehow went overboard during a few parts. XD And Yukki -- I'll still need time to get used to his short hair. Goodbye, thick headbands!
Ken + Tetchan backup vocal: yay.
Tetchan's hair is really nice, too. XD Really different from his spiky locks before, but I guess he chose to mellow down a bit since they're all growing old. Xd Lol. Hyde's son's probably three now, or four. I thought Tetchan was wearing a kilt and a kilt alone in the vid, though.
Yay. I feel better now, thank you. :D
I was reviewing what my planner has for me for the week. So out comes 25, then 26...and so on, and so on. Then I saw that I had written on the twenty-ninth that L'Arc~en~Ciel's new single (lol, after Seventh Heaven) was to be released -- My Hearts Draws a Dream.
Then like yesterday I saw that a PV of My Heart was already out. So the single must've been out! I already have my copy of the song (got to have FEELING FINE 2007! Who has it?!?!). I was going to watch the PV sometime this weekend but i spent it out so i completely forgot.
BUT THEN I looked at my neighborhood and saw that my beloved Laruku performed in Music Japan.
Which airs in my country.
Which I did not watch since the moment i got home i did some petty stuff and went to sleep.
WHY LORD DID YOU NOT TELL ME THAT THE SUPER COOL LARUKU was GOING TO PERFORM?! so what if the show'll air two in the morning?! It's still hyde! and tetsu! and yukki and ken!!!!!!!
Damn August 25 2007! I just checked and EXILE and mihimaru GT performed as well!!
WHY GOD, WHY?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
And next week it's full of Visual Kei. : O. I can still go for Alice Nine, but the last i heard from them (decently) was Chandelier and Akatsuki from their songs from Meine Leibe. The only Visual Kei i listen to now is Janne da Arc, and I don't even know if they're still onto VKei. The VKei i ever listened to before was the old one (Malice Mizer, Kagrra, etc).
Damn it. T.T. The last time I saw Laruku on my TV screen was when they released LINK, and their performance for that was even shorter than i imagined. And I think Hyde still had that weirdo braids of his!
*shakes fist into the air*
I am not happy. : O. If this episode ever gets reruns, please inform me.
Thank you.
I think i'll just scour youtube. But this is really not fair -- seeing them on my tv screen feels better. : O
